UNSTOPPABLE

Unstoppable is a drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals. This pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They're chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town. Starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine. Directed by Tony Scott.

Film Fact:

Based on a real runaway train incident from May 2001 when a 47 car CSX train left a Toledo, Ohio rail yard without an engineer and wasn't stopped until it had ran 66 miles through three counties.

SAW 3D

As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror.

Film Fact:

In early 2009, producers viewed the original Saw film converted to 3D. They were so impressed; the possibility of a seventh installment in 3D became an instant guarantee.

BROD

A film about fraternity brotherhood with a twist, Brod revolves around Terence and Tad who are frat members who unintentionally fall in love with each other.

Trivia:

Kenjie Garcia who stars as Terence won Best Actor for "Ang Lihim ni Antonio" at the Festival del Sol Gran Canaria in Spain while Ardie Bascara who plays Tad is one of Cosmo Magazine’s Bachelors of 2009.

Barbara (Maria Isabel Lopez) is a woman who meets gruesome death in the hands of a mysterious being in the horror/mystery-suspense thriller, Ang Babae sa Sementeryo. The film traces the investigation into her murder and uncovering the mystery of whether she was killed by either the devil, ghosts or a serial killer.

And to fulfill this obligation and hobby, I do pamper my body with good diet, High Intensity Training or HIT, sound sleep and spiritual nourishment. HIT is a routine that you must exercise or train hard for 10minutes and rest for 5minutes to give way for oxygen intake every intervals, about four times per week. I drink a lot of water to replenish my body and a proper hygiene.

Being a teacher, I know that we study history in order to learn from our mistakes and make the necessary changes to keep them from happening over and over again. Karera captures the last day of karera (horse racing) at the once illustrious Sta. Ana Racetrack. The Domingo family, caught in the middle of this upheaval, grapples in varying degrees of problems: lost money, illegal dealings, bets and ultimately their survival. Starring Rosanna Roces, Laurice Guillen and Joem Bascon.

Though last year’s rainy season will forever be remembered
as the worst ever to hit our country, I still find the rainy season
as one of the most amazing time of the year.
Here’s my top 5 list of what I love most about the rainy season:
1. I get to flaunt my collection of jackets and sweaters.
I can wear a different one each day.
2. The cold weather makes it unnecessary to turn on our aircon unit
thus a lower electricity bill.
3. There is a reason to stay at home that gives me a chance
to spend quality time with my family.
4. It reminds me of my childhood years when I would pray
for the rain not to stop as I take a great shower experience.
5. But what I love most is the simple joy of waiting
for a rainbow to appear after the rain---such a beauty to behold.

(yes, for us ladies, it is worthwhile)
16 kids playing in the water puddles on the side roads
as if they're swimming pools with free entrance
1 tight hug from my boyfriend to keep me warm :)

It's when I get to stay in bed for a little longer,
listening to the taps raindrops make on the window,
appreciating the warmth my woolen blankets give off,
the waft of freshly-brewed coffee streaming in from the kitchen,
and all the while, looking at my partner, still fast asleep,
snoring lightly, while I count each speck
of magical sand on her eyelids.

It's when books are not housed in by spiders in the room:
I gather those unread ones, blow off the dust
that has accumulated on the covers,
and pile them up close to the bedpost.
My fingers,which had been worn out by all the toiling under the sun,
now glide through each page as if
troublesome cobwebs have been shaken off.
It's sipping soothing spoonfuls of hot creamy soup atop the stool.

And it's when the family's home,
especially when a raging typhoon hits.
There's nothing that can bring a family closer
than Mother Nature's instability.
Somehow I'm thankful, because my little sister's safe
from the floods that may cause her to catch disease,
because my younger brother wouldn't have to stay
in the internet shop, blocks away, plying DOTA, for hours,
and instead, would sit by the sofa and strum on his guitar
renditions of well-known mellow tracks.
My parents, who would always be at work would always find us
all unconscious or preoccupied with assignments or projects
when they finally reach home.
When suspension is announced, we would have film sessions
arranged by the living room, contorting ourselves
to fit in whatever space is left on the sofa.

But somehow, we think of others also,
not fortunate enough to be in a snugly position such as ours
and struggling out there, surviving Mother Nature's wrath.
We pray for them, reciting our Our Fathers,
Hail Marys, and Glory Bes,
and at the same time, spontaneously offering
our own prayers for the safety of all.

It's the coziest time of the year, which should be enjoyed by everybody.
